Quilter

I started sewing with my grandmother (Jeanette) at a very young age on an old Singer sewing machine and I am proudly in possession of that original one. We would spend hours sitting together making doll clothes, cutting out patterns from newspapers, etc and then eventually making clothes for myself as time went on. With continued interest, she also taught me Acadian rug hooking and this was something our own kids growing up loved to do when they visited her. She was an inspiration to me growing up and took the time to teach me as she was proud of my sewing creativity. Since this time, I have taken many steps to continue sewing a variety of items and share with family and friends. I now belong to a local quilt guild and get much inspiration from them as I pursue quilting further.
